Violence Against Women – National Association of Women and the Law
On May 7, 2015, NAWL submitted a Joint Brief on the Impact of Bill C-42 on Women’s Safety to the Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security.
Along with abolition of mandatory minimum sentences of imprisonment for murder and offences involving a firearm, NAWL recommends abolition of the defence of provocation.
